HELLO FRIENDLY REMINDER TO EVERYONE TO GO MAKE APPOINTMENT FOR CLEANING WITH YOUR DENTIST BEFORE THE YEAR ENDS!

Plan ahead and make appointment earlier before the slots are all taken up 🤓

Don't bail on your dentist!

Sometimes we are quite bummed when patients don't turn up for their appt, or be really late.

Our appointments are usually fixed in advance, each patient is allocated a fixed duration of time. For example, we usually allocate 30-45 minutes for normal scaling and polishing.

If you come late, we will have less time to perform what we have to do, or we end up seeing our next patient late, and so on. That's why sometimes you have to wait for your dentist 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm sure most clinics will confirm your dental appointment one or two days before, either via SMS or call.

Please let them know if you cannot make it ASAP so that your slot can be given to someone else who could desperately need it due to toothache or a busy schedule!

We really don't appreciate patients being MIA or cancel the appt last minute (maybe unless you're the last pt and there's no one after that)

Be nice to us so we be nice to y'all 🤓

If you're gonna be late, don't worry.

Call your clinic and let them know how much time you need to arrive! Sometimes we have some allowance, or we can see other patients in the meantime, instead of just waiting for you.

That being said, do be patient with your dentist. I'm sure you want us to be gentle and do our best for you, and we want that for everyone too!

It's supposed to help you relax etc but first advice I receive from them is

I was led into a private room with a shower cubicle,

And this weirdo capsule hahaha machiam UFO spacecraft

So you're supposed to shower, be naked, switch off all lights in the room and float in the extremely salty water in the capsule.

The idea is to devoid you of any gravity, any stimulus, rest all your senses.

Qt excited and scared but I'm supposed to be devoid of all emotions.

It was quite an inexplicable experience.

Initially it was hard to relax, with the complete darkness and radio silence.

I panicked a bit at one point because I felt like I had no idea where I am because I'm "floating in nowhere" ?!

In between, I felt a bit high HAHA like euphoria. Like I was just floating in outerspace like an alien and nothing on earth matters at all SO IT WAS JUST HAPPINESS

I know I sound damn siao hahaha but I was so happy when I was reading this "float journal"

It is a compilation of post-floating thoughts by everyone who tried before! Soooo many people said they felt like aliens hahaha IM NOT ALONE 🌌👽

If anyone is interested, I did it at the Palm Ave Float Club.

Hello I wanna talk about my nails! Heh.

The last time I did my nails at HDL, it was good while it lasted. But sadly it didn't. I did gelish and maybe it was because of my line of work, it lasted for barely 1 week?

My nails are dry and brittle and short and terrible because I have to use them for work everyday. I used to hate manicures because it never lasts, until the advent of Gelish 👍🏻

Even then, I have to go to someone who is good else it will peel easily too 😕

Just went to find Michelle and she has been my go-to manicurist since #tohfuweds!

She is nice and friendly and best part is, she lives near me HAHA yeah I followed her from a studio in the woodlands industrial area till her home based studio in Semb now.

Her prices are affordable and she does great work as well! Can check her out on @cistersstudio on IG if you're interested 😊

What is jetlag?

Only applies for east-west directions; you won't be affected by north-south directions!

Mr Fu and I are dying from what we think is jet lag? Made me curious what exactly is it and how come we feel it so keenly when we return and not when we arrived in Europe..

Saddest part: REDUCED INTEREST AND ENJOYMENT IN FOOD 😭

Since our return, I really lost my appetite and can't really eat much at all. We also get super lethargic throughout the day and just feel so… off.

When we go to bed, I'm actually quite tired and sleepy but just toss and turn for sooo long and cannot sleep?

Mr Fu is falling ill from flu while I puked a few times and had severe headache since returning.

How?

This answered on why we felt it so keenly returning to SG and not upon arriving in Europe.

Sigh our body time is lagging wayyy behind.

Any cure?

Helpppppp I'm so miserable from this lack of appetite and sleep 😴

Best part?

We are flying right straight back into Europe's arms in about 1 month's time haha which means this process will repeat itself!

Eee already no appetite then this Toastbox never break the eggs for me and it's cooked so unevenly 😦

And why such a big cup of tea c? Haha I cannot finish leh.

Not sure if it's jet lag or myself speaking, but I've been rather easily annoyed recently. I will not delve on the negatives and all but well, I need to get it out of my system.

Do we have that friend who orders expensive drinks and then make everyone split the bill with him/her?

Do we all also have that friend who likes to compare himself/herself incessantly when there is no basis of comparison at all?

Okay peace restored in my system haha I shall continue my backlog for Paris while it's still relatively fresh in my memory!

Our Paris adventure has barely started when something shitty happened – we lost one of our luggages.

This husband tried his best to cheer up but still 🙁 this poor thing lost his down jacket and survived near zero temps in a freaking suit.

We were deciding between a few cafes for brunch, all super crowded with long queue.

Decided on this place since it came highly recommended by my french friend!

Had to queue for quite awhile in the cold and rainy weather outside.

Still damn groggy from the plane and starving.

One of the most famous crepes in Paris! Queue was really really long, and irritating people cutting queue.

We ordered a savoury one – jambon fromage champignon; another sweet one – nutella banana #yumz

Highly recommend the savoury one please, soooo crispy and yummy.

Waiting for bus

Malta's public transport mainly consists of buses and ferries here, no trains. Roads are narrow and traffic is slow thats why I kept complaining I get 🤢 after every ride. The bus rides are all jerky and slow and crowded and stuffy (they dont turn on the aircon during winter)

We rode for about 15 mins only to see this again; VALLETTA.

Damn it means we took the bus in the wrong direction SIANZ.

We were planning to go to another island, Gozo. I was really bored in Malta for the past few days but waiting for Mr Fu to go there with me because it's a long way there

It's like 1 hour bus ride to the Cirrkewwa Ferry terminal, then another ferry ride to Gozo, passing by Comino which is another island.

But now we damn sian hahaha and lazy to go
